What must we know about Mankind?

The Bible teaches us that God made humanity and gave us authority over the earth (Genesis 1:26-27). This means that every person regardless of gender, age, ethnicty, or any other distinctive is made in God's image. Thus, all people are worthy of dignity and respect.

Moreover, not only did create our first human ancestors, He has continued to be intimately involved in the creation of all people from the moment of their conception to the point that God has numbered the hairs on our heads (Psalm 139:13-16; Luke 12:7). Thereby, showing us that God cares about each one of us as individuals.

God made humanity on purpose for a purpose. There was no external force that required God to create humanity. Rather, God simply chose to create mankind. And why did God do so? In order that we would worship Him and enjoy Him for all eternity (1 Corthinthians 10:31; Romans 11:36; Psalm 75:25-28). Nowhere is this more obvvious than when God blessed our first ancestors by placing them in the Garden of Eden where they could enjoy God's labor of creation and bask in a face-to-face relationship with God (Genesis 2).
